two days ago i got a cat. then i had an allerigic reaction to that cat. so i had to give it away. sad, sad.

Last night I had the most pleasant surprise when about 10 minutes before the reception was over last night two of my favorite faces came peeking around the corner! Okie Dokie and THE Liz came all the way from chatty for a sleep over and it was the best surprise ever! just having them here for one night has left me energetic and full of ideas and warm feelings. what amazing people they are!! and finally now i can see what an amazing place Covenant really was to be filled with people like that. thanks friends. you made my weekend.

what happened to september?

i missed it. i'd swear it didn't happen if i didn't have an email box full of spam and some crazy bank statements to prove that it did. i think i just mentally checked out for a month, but i am back now. and ready for the freshness of fall. the slate's not blank by any means but who cares layers of chalk build character (thanks heather). I have a show opening on Friday and some very supportive friends and family who are coming to enjoy the festivities and a day off of work (my first in more than two weeks!). despite putting in over 50 hours in 5 days, i think its going to be a good week.

i can never have a blank slate...

...so now what?

there is nothing new under the sun. (Keren Ann always knows how to say what i'm thinking)

In a moment of desperation for inspiration, i began exploring a few friends' and aquaintances postings and realized that i am just as interesting as anyone else, i just dont market myself to myself.

so to the next new beginning (i start afresh sporadically by relocating and reinventing) in a new state, new town, new haircut, and new goals and priorities (will update on those later). but what's missing? oh yeah, NEW PEOPLE. thats next on the list. I have joined a few arts associations and even attended and opening last friday. but you really have to search out the interesting things and people here.

so this is where i will maintain a record of any and all beauty there is in le ville vert.
